Thought I'd met my match today!

I was crusin' today after I went to Autorama (pictures shortly) & an old Monte Carlo SS came up from behind. We were havin' a good time messin' around on the freeway & it seemed really close. The freeway ended & there was a series of red lites! Of course we finally got next to each other at the red & I wasn't sure how this was gonna go but I wound up takin' him. I was relieved & out of nowhere came a late model Caddy Eldo act'n the fool! He smoked the Monte too. Now that was one bad Caddy. I decided not to press my luck & turned off... I'd really hate to get smoked by an Eldo! Poor Monte... he thought he was really tuff & got smoked twice in less than a couple of minutes! [ddd[S

I got smoked by a semi on my 76 Honda Super Sport 550 four going down a long grade in southern Ohio, he left me outa sight but I found him pulled over by a statey at the bottom of the hill, would like to know how fast he was going and how much the ticket was [ddd

i was cruising home late one night in the 72 mg midget when this pile of crap chevy comes along side and started gassing his engine. so i gassed my little 1200 cc 50 hp job. then he did it again, and i started to kinda get annoyed. i looked over and it was my brother danny. so at the next couple of lights, we did the whole speed up then slow down thing. so we are flying down the main drag, my bro kinda being nice cuz he has me beat by at least a hundred horses. he would slow down, and the little mg would go by him, then he'd speed up and go flying by me. then he slowed way down, and i went by him and slowed down, and he goosed it and flew by me and the stater sitting off the road. last i saw he was surrounded by flashy lights and i cruised on by.

In the last few years here in B.C. they have introduced new laws for guys caught ' street racing '. They automatically impound your car, there was a high profile example made of 2 young guys this week, caught going 140+ mph , racing up a mountain road. They impounded and sold a Ferrari and a Porshe. The Ferrari was sold for $250,000 - naturally the kid didn't own it, though one of the co-owners at least got half the money.

Boy, I would have lost a lot of cars back in the day !!! At least they were bought and paid for with my own dough......

Dunno if I'm so much better behaved now or just sneakier......

My Dad loved the drags & we used to go all the time. They'd run up the classes & then the AA fulers would zip down the track. Right after that... they'd run Beetles. After the AA's it looked like you could have run faster than that on foot... I always thought that was funny!!! Then right after that they'd race wiener dogs!

Yea a Caddy with a built 500ci motor can do damage. A mild build and yer lookin a 550-600 horses and ditto or more tourque! Big ryde but huge engine! RR
