Yeah, me too. I'm more into the ride part than the polishing part.. I'm sure most of your crowd probably built most of theirs and also spend a lot of time on the upkeep but in a crowd of "shiny" where ever I go you see people spending a lot of time looking at the rats and the features you don't see on stock rides! Thanks for the pix!

Some newbies tonight. An unmolested '57. Mighty fine '65 with a 427 and a daily driver Blue Oval.

I am very fortunate to hang around with this group of guys every Thursday.

My friend Chuck debuted his '27 Roadster . 283/5speed. finished to the max. She's a beauty.
The 392/blown Hemi powered Plymouth is very trick. Just met the guy. He did it all, including roll cage and upholstery. Hidden injection under the scoop. Lots of design engineering in the car.

Labor Day at the Blacksmith Lounge

Sponsored by the Studebaker Club. 100 Degrees. Didn't stay real long. It was the longest voyage I've taken with the Hup roadster. About 25 miles. Mostly county roads. Nice. Couple pics to prove I was there. The old bias tires have to go though. This is the latest from ITW rods. He's built a few along these lines. A Tripper rumbler and a real rat. Long and low. This Anglia was built 30 years ago. This guy was telling me all the parts that have broken driving on the crappy streets in St. Paul.

Hey Bob....have you ever talked to the guy at the 40's Dodge P/U with the Cummings in it? He's wearing a blue tank top in the picture. He's a Facebook friend of mine Kurtis.... Small world!

I vote for your Hup Bob. It stimulates my imagination. I'd like to borrow it to explore small country Minnesota towns on a beautiful fall day. :D

Thank you for the nice comments, guys. It was a sunny, warm afternoon. Perfect for a roadster ride. Fairly small group of friends at Gruber's tonight. Roadster ran well except for the one tire with a flat spot. I get double vision at low speeds. Pic showing I was there and a really nice '55 next to me. Flyin' Brian sold the Falcon he had a few weeks ago and picked up this very nice ChevyII wagon. Brian only keeps cars a few weeks. And a 400 hp piece of fine German engineering.
