Yeah, I finally found a price on them for almost $6000. I don't even think they could pull the weight of a small child.

Skull, I came across that car while doing research... very cool! Something about that size would be great.

As for air bags, semi's and such use air-ride seats too. Might be some kind of bag app that would work for you there too. Smaller than the full cab bags.

I can't seem to find any of the kits without the seat. I can probably go find a salvage yard for big trucks or tractors and get one from there. Do you have a link for what your describing? I'm not sure if I'm searching the right words.

I know these arn't what you have in mind but I thought I would throw them out there. They ride a bit high but they are a way cool way to use an old bumper car.

I couldn't come up with anything on the net either. I looked under the seat of one of our semi's at work today. If you could find a semi junk yard, you could probably get a couple cheap. Most have a couple bigger bags at the back of the cab also.

Thanks Sam, one of my in-laws used to work for Peterbilt. I bet he can point me in the right direction.

I'm kinda hoping something like this will not only get MY kids involved in hot rodding but give hope to other kids that want to build something but aren't old enough to drive yet. If I knew at 12 what I know now and that I could build something like this to start learning I would have been all over it.

If I have time (and a babysitter) I'm going to try and start on a body this weekend. I may start a "build" thread on it.

KEEP THE IDEAS COMING... I LOVE THIS STUFF (BUILDING & IMPROVISING).
