so every day on my 60 mile one way trip to the big city to work[cli see alot of yards some have some intresting stuff.go past this farm and he has several mustangs,bumpside ford trucks,and 53-55 chevrolet trucks.so i finally stop to check on some chevy truck parts for a guy i work with.this guy is straight up cool shows me all around his property hes got cars in barns,fields,carports.so i see this ford fairlane in the distance assume its junk ! he tells me he bought it because it had a roller 302 and he wanted it for his stang.he yanked the motor and it became a gonna get to later car!so we look at it the cars tight floorboards,trunk all good no rust body real nice for 50 years old most everything is there trunk full of misc.trim bumper in barn.now the big question how much? i dont know what these are worth but dang im diggin on it...he hims and haas in typical backwoods tn attitude.he hits me with $1000 i never said yes so fast kinda shocked me.the junk ive been lookin at this was a creampuff.

so heres the plan drag it home this week get my 12 year old on clean up get it all set on stands find a donor car with 302 auto swap in engine go through suspension,interior,and slam it and drive it

Um, not sure what you're talking about there since it is a floor shift - not column.

Regardless, don't kill it with an automatic. Keep the 3 pedals...

still has colum shifter in car minus lever.someone added the floor shifter

ok looks like i may go with a 4 speed heck the pedals are in it and got aline on a 4 speed but will not keep the 3 speed in it...lol

but i wanted a 66-67 fairlane so bad my senior year i sold a 69 fairlane factory Q code 4 speed car less motor and trans to buy a 66 who knew what these cars would bring nowdays.
