That is the question?!?!

I have not seen the truck in person yet, from what my dad says it is a 79. They believe it's a 360 but I'm not a hundred percent sure. It actually has been stored inside for the last 20 some years. It is supposed to run. My dad's buddy who owns our local honey hole wrecking yard picked it up from a guy local. There is one dent in the front driver side corner and I believe the trim piece is there that looks like it's missing. He says 2500 but I might see if he'll go to 2. I don't know the market on these trucks. I would do the same treatment as my Bronco clean it up really good get it running make it presentable and put it on the market. What do you guys think

You must be a magnet for nice old trucks![cl
If you are able to view the drivers side of the engine block, the raised casting numbers will tell you if it's a 360.
3810230 is a 75-78 360
4179930 is a 75-79 360

I would think any special edition Mopar truck with the factory engine must be worth a bit more. I would love that in my driveway.... It deserves yer Bronco treatment [P

Don't see those square body Dodge much any more. I always liked the last few years they were built. Sure they have a following, just don't know how large. The way older trucks are selling right now, even at $2500 is a bargain if this is indeed running.

Alright guys so I snuck away from the shop to go take a look at it. There is absolutely zero rust in the truck. I put it up on the lift I think I shop where it's at. Solid. I can tell it does need a few small things like a master cylinder because we pushed it in the shop and I touched the brakes and now the front brakes are sticking but that stuff's expected. We filled the carburetor bowl full of fuel through the vent hole, squirt a little down its throat. I hot-wired the ignition and bump the solenoid to the battery and it fired right up and idles smooth as can be. The rear drive line had been taken out of it but it has brand new U-joints in it so I'm assuming that's why it was pulled. The oil in the transmission is a still red and does not smell burnt. Pretty sure I can buy the truck for 2 Grand

Oh yeah, it is a 360

With a quick google search, I couldn't find a Prospector with that graphics package. Regardless, it's still a 1979 D100 with no rust, the right wheels, and paint that looks like it will clean up nice (plus it runs). Get it running and clean it up cosmetically and mechanically, and you'll make some money on it!

If something that clean was available for that price for me here, it would already be on the trailer.

Nice looking truck. My only warning is that I worked in a dealership that had Dodge from 78 to 80 and those were the worst years for quality control for Chrysler. So bad that we sold the franchise. Iacocca turn it around after that. If has survived all these years it must be a good one. I'd still buy it and flip it.

Looks like I will be installing an air ride system on a 65 Chevy C10 in trade for that truck. I'll be coming out ahead

Well done LB, that could be a good looking truck. Post your work on the 65, I have a guy that might want something like that done as well.
