That's odd, I swear it said Oldsmobile on the back. But you're right Snake, that's a Buick grill for sure. Damn, getting old sucks, now I gotta go take a closer look. I wonder if someone hung a Buick grill on a Oldsmobile.

Yep it's a 48 Buick. I was fooled by all the letters on grill. My brain decide that was too many for "Buick" so it must be Oldsmobile, when in fact it is Buick Eight

Looked like they built sort of a swingarm arrangement, hinged at the back..

Can you imagine the slip yoke this thing must have on the driveshaft to keep it from coming completely out of the tranny?
