I didn't really know where to post this so I decided to put it here. It for sure isn't B.S.!! I don't know how many of you have seen or heard the news recently but since we all have probably been to a Monster Truck show at some point in our lives, (I used to go 5 or 6 times a year) I thought this was worth mentioning. This is so tragic!

In a freak accident, a young boy in Tacoma, Washington was killed Friday night at the Tacoma Dome as he and his Dad were enjoying the "Monster Jam" show. Apparently as the "Natural High" Monster Truck was doing doughnuts, one of it's drive shaft safety loops tore loose from the truck and flew up into the audience where it struck the boy in the head - killing him!

The six year old boys name was Sabastian Hizey. It just shows that despite all the safety precautions designed to prevent things like this, things still sometimes can happen and even the best safety gear can unexpectantly fail. Please keep this young boy and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

I hate hearing stories like that. No parent should have to outlive their kids.
Our thoughts and prayers are certainly with the family, the driver and his team. I know I would never be able to compete again if it were me in that monster truck.

Thats a real sad story. Total a freak accident, your more likely to get killed by a stray puck at a hockey game than that happening. Could you imagine how the teams mechanic feels?

Just goes to show ya, when its your time theres nothing you could do about it. You could spend your whole life eating right, excersizing, going to church and still get hit by a bus on your way home.

that's really a shame that with all the safety precautions a freak accident takes the life of a child there to enjoy the show. Prayers go out to all involved

Father I come before You in humble and heart felt prayer today for the family and friends of this young child that You have saw fit to bring Home.
Lord I understand Your ways are not our way and You are above all things on this earth and You do these things for a reason even when we do not understand.
Lord God I thank You for being with this family and for Your Holy Spirit being with all those here in this forum who know You as their personal Saviour.
Lord I also ask that You be with the family of the driver and each of the team members and bring peace and comfort to the hearts of each of those involved.
Lord may You use this for Your glory and possibly may others come to know You though this.
Father as others read this prayer today I ask that You speak to those who are lost and without no hope that they too will come to know You as I and others here have.
All this I ask and will give You praise and honor in the wonderful name of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ,
Amen and amen.

I took my six year old nephew to the sunday show in the Tacoma dome. Wow that was scary, yeah I know it was a freak accident and you're more likely to get hit by lightning but it was still a little nerve wracking. The organisers did a good job though, there was a moment of silence for the boy and his family and they blocked off the first rows with yellow sheeting. They even stopped the show when a guy put his coat on the sheeting untill he took it off. I really thought about telling him we were'nt going but in the end we went. I can't put the kid in a cellar to protect him from the world. What happened on friday was a tragedy in the truest sence of the word and my heart and prayers go out to his family. Just my $.02

Driver is not going to be charged, as it was no where near his fault.

Dan Patrick has been in monster trucks nearly since the start. He is one of the most likable drivers, (owners), and talented fabricators, I have ever met. I cannot magine what he is going through right now. It is a hard situation for all involved. Thoughts and prayers go out.
