While working in southern IL my truck and trailer got hit by a lady who crossed center and side swiped us. Totaled my trailer and beat my truck up pretty good, it's probably totaled as well.

So... My truck has almost 400k on it and the body shows it. Not rusty but beat up. Its a 2wd 96 dodge with a cummins and auto trans. Now I'm thinking it's time to put the drivetrain in something cooler that I can still use to pull equipment and haul my crew around.

Anybody have any suggestions on a new body/chassis? I prefer a four door and something a lot cooler then a new style.

What exactly are you guys calling a power wagon and a long roof?

I've heard almost every truck that dodge made called a power wagon. And I've never heard of a long roof..

I'm thinking something old guys, not anything remotely new that you still see everyday. I considered a old skool box truck on a modern chassis.

Long roof = wagon - as in station wagon. Put it on your frame - comfort, room, and style.

When I think Power Wagon, I think of the old 50's version. Probably not crew compatible and doubtfully comfortable.

I don't know that a wagon would work and be able to make it look right and still be able to tow equipment. Im going to stick with two wheel drive.

Here's a box style truck like what I was thinking.

I like some of the 60s crew cabs also.

those gas guzzlin international quad cabs are cheap if you can find em and they look good too
