Trunk lock

Not sure where to put this so I'll put it here...

I cant get into the trunk of my 49 Pontiac, the keys I got work in the ignition, should it be the same key? Any suggestions besides a locksmith or a drill?[S

Take out the back seat and go through the trunk. You can remove the lock cylinder from the inside, then take it to a locksmith and have a key made. Key blanks are available online or if you are lucky enough to have an old locksmith shop near you they may have one. Regardless, once the lock cylinder is removed you can open the trunk with a screwdriver.

Im not sure...I COULD unlock/lock the glove box though...
