Had a nice four generation dinner at the in law's. Me and Mrs. Snakefarm, Mrs. Snakefarm's sister, our daughters and their husbands and their kids. Doesn't happen often with our niece and her family living in Denver, so it was a special Thanksgiving for us all....and yes we ate ourselves into a coma.

Fried a turkey, baked a turkey (for the stuffing), buttery cheese with macaroni, sweet potato soufflé, and all the other good stuff. Plus pumpkin pie, cheese cake, and lots of cookies. Washed it down with some fresh hard cider.

Today is Turkey Soup.

The Zipper crew put the hurt on a perfectly cooked bird, all the usual trimmings and hogged out on pumpkin and coconut pie!

Make a pig of myself and have been paying the price for ever since. I have been sicker then a dog since about two hours after eating.

I recently lost 22 pounds and I'm not about to gain it back overeating. Well...maybe just a little too much ham, and mashed potatoes, and pie, and, and. I'll do better tomorrow.

Spent the whole week in Texas with 2 daughters, 2 grand daughters and one son in law. Ate, ate some more, hiked Mineral Wells, rode bikes, stuffed the drive train into a 70 Bronco, and watched the classic Christmas movies.
We had a smoked turkey. It was awesome.

In 30 years my two Sons and I have never eaten Thanksgiving dinner at home, we are always at Daytona for Turkey Run. Whenever we would have a new lady in our lives we would tell her up front "Don't plan on me being here on Thanksgiving !" :D

This year we found a new place to eat turkey in Daytona......Steves Famous Diner near Bel Air Plaza. The turkey was great, with all the fixings, and they even started the meal off with huge pieces of home made bread and chicken soup. They gave you plenty too. It will be our new favorite every Thanksgiving.

The only turkey encounter I had......

We ran into this bunch of hooligans on the road when I took my grandson
on a youth cow elk hunt.

Caleb was tickled to get his first elk.
Meat in the freezer is a good thing.
