years ago i remember seeing a painting of an old drive in burger joint with an ice cream truck backing into a flamed merc and the owners girlfriend holding him back from beating the crap out of the icecream guy. anyone know where i can find this print? ive looked everywhere.

That was originally done by "Bondo Bob" Roberts, a rather accomplished car guy/designer/artist from "back in the day."

If you were to Google (or BING yuck!!) Bob Roberts, you probably could find some internet retailer selling reprints of that great old piece of garage art.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Shea:)

P.S. edit-Bondo Bob is the same guy who did the crazy robot-menacing-half-naked-girl artwork featured on the inner vinyl sleeve of Guns N Roses "Appetite For Destruction" album...If anybody gives a who-doo... ;)

Some needs to show us this poster. I just spent about an hour searchin and found a bunch of creepy stuff this guy painted but no such mentioned car poster.

Yeah, I looked for it too. What I did find was a bit freakish for my taste. I seen it years ago, had to be in a magazine, it was way before I ever had a computer. The milk truck backs into the the Merc while delivering milk to the high school dance. Merc owner is being held back by his buddies so he won't clobber the truck driver. A neat painting.

Yep, that's the artist. I had forgot that it was a collage (not sure of the spelling) been a long time since I seen it.

back in the 80s Robert William and Ed Roth used to go to the Montreal car show every year and sell those posters for a buck each. A buck more and they would sign them. I was buying them for all my friends 10 at a time must have 5 or 6 different posters.
