After finishing a Henry J and selling it, Terry & Lee found this rust free VW on the local Craigslist.

Correction: The title is supposed to be V8 Volks by T & L. Can't be changed now.

It's not like this husband and wife team to leave anything stock. After a few days of removing everything that was in the way, plans were firmed up to make a gasser style street bruiser out of it.
In front you will find a Speedway straight axle kit.

In the rear is a 9" rear end that Terry narrowed. Still waiting for the resplined axles though. It is suspended on a two link with a Morrison coil spring/shock set up.

As the snow and cold moves ever closer the Terry & Lee Team have a cool project to keep them occupied in their comfortable shop.

Thanks, Bob, for posting pics of the build. I have a few before pics to add also. We are going to put a 350 with a 350 turbo transmission.

Looks like it will be a good project!!! Can't wait to see how it turns out! A few years ago a local late model dirt shop put a blown 468 in the front of a bug! Saw it in person, that thing was wicked!

The car was pretty rust free, we even got the original chassis to unbolt from the body with no bolts breaking off. Didn't want the "yard art" so we took it to a swap meet and sold it for$150.00 to a guy who had a fiberglass body of an MG. along with the motor which was all apart. Everyone was happy.

We picked up a used rear end out of a F150 pick up truck, narrowed it 20" had a local guy respline the axels, got them back this weekend. That will be put back together this week. Next will be the wheel well tubs. It will be nice to have a rolling chassis again.

Yeah, a roller is always nice. I plan on rolling my chassis under my body this week and fab some body mounts. It's just lonesome old me doing mine. I use my cherry picker to lift and position my body. I have had the roller under the body a couple of times.

V8square, nice wagon, your build is comming along nicely, frame suspension looks really good.

Thanks. As I said, I am slow, but I want to make it right, as much as I can, the first time. You know, I have talked with many retired people, like me, that say they are bored. I have a real problem with that. I don't have time to get bored. days are not long enough. I don't know how I got things done when I was working. But, I am not complaining. life is good!
