Not quite the same thing but the most fun I ever had. I was running a built 87 Quadracer 500. I could pull the front tires when I slammed 5th on the straight away

Hot rodders in other countries are just nuts.......and I mean that in a good way. They drive the heck out of their cars, racing them on dirt tracks, etc. Seems they have a whole different outlook on what these things were built for.
