I just got this PM and I clicked on it and my computer came up with a big red warning that my system blocked it because it is a known virus site. I thought it was from Tripper.

A lot of the popular php and vbulletin boards have been getting this junk over the last few weeks. So much so, that I have disabled PMs on most boards.

The one common feature, the word "Admin" was included in the ID.
eg: AdminX, Admin_Lady, Lady_Admin, LadyXAdmin, AdminGirlX,
StopAdmin, ForumAdmin, ForumAdministrator, etc.

Yes... that is a spammer& not from RRR! Do not click on that message!!! I believe I have been able to block new users from PM'ing until they are finally approved my me personally. I will monitor this closely until I can verify this is true!

I've had that happen a few times before and it typically installs a fake virus checking deal which tells you that you have 4000 viruses and if you pay them money they'll give you the updated version which will fix it but doesn't. Many times they block virus programs from even working properly to remove them. I hate those ah's that do that. Some of them even use a very convincing microsoft virus center logo. I personally would love to catch the little geeks spreading that crap and beat them to death.

Yep... I have disabled new registrations from being able to PM B4 my final ok. Currently I will have to manually approve them to do so but am lookin' to automate that as well. I hate spammers & definitely think those punks need to draw jail time for screwing peoples computers up! Here in Tejas we prefer the old electric cattle prod... whoops... did I say that out loud?!?
