Ive been a Dodge guy since IHC quit making pickups. So I only buy them. Havent had any trouble at all. My boss is a GMC guy, so my new work truck is a GMC. Not a fan at all. Anyway, had it for 200 miles and had a blowout. Took it in for warranty and they are making us buy a new tire. We were just about to buy 6 new trucks, but now we are leaning toward the brand I want. What ever became of customer service?

I would take great pleasure in telling their new truck sales manager that they just lost 6 new truck sales because of their nonsense about the dodgy tyre. :D

The tyre might just get done free then.

Not a matter of customer service from the dealer so much as from the factory.....they don't want to pay for crap.... when I was working as a Service Director if a good customer came in with a problem, GM would pay one way or the other.....if you know what I mean....;) No way would I let a customer go over a 150 or 200 dollar tire....it would have been fixed.....customer satisfaction is or should be foremost....but the Factory's don't worry about anything but warranty costs....period..

I don't even think there is road hazard warranty on tires anymore. Used to be.
Some things dealers just can't back, like clutches. I was working at a dealership that sold Toyotas back around 90-91. They sold a customer a new Tercel for their 16 year old daughter. Within hours it was back on the hook with the clutch destroyed because she had no idea how to drive a stick. Customer pay, sorry.
BTW, I have a good friend who is a Dodge tech and I hear the stories all the time, they are no better than anyone else. The dealership ends up eating a lot of crap to keep customers. Cross one "T" wrong on the electronic form the techs have to fill out and they deny the claim.

So I got the new tire today. They straight lied to my boss and told him I drove it for several miles on a flat. I went 1 block till I could pull over. Then they complained about it missing a lugnut and tried to make us buy a new one. UNTIL they found it in the hub cap where they put it. Plus side is they did reduce the cost of the tire to half, but I dont like being lied about at all.
