Way O/T - Tree art!

Galveston, Tx has an art tour that is unique & usual. If you didn't know... Ike killed an unbelievable number of big trees especially oaks. We lost 5 *huge* oaks on our property. Anyway... people have taken the trees that were cut down on their property & turned them into works of art & there's a tour you can ride u're bike & see them all. That's what people were doing yesterday when I was down there. A perfect case of taking lemons & making lemonade! Here's my fav!

Not yet but Karen & I are gonna do the whole tour & I'll post them. I thought it was a really kool idea & can't wait to see them all!

All I can make out of wood is sawdust! That is a great idea and I would love to see more. Here there are quite a few guys who make chainsaw bears, meaning they use a chainsaw to sculpt them. It is kind of neat also.

Very cool. Have you carved a ratrod out of one of your trees yet?

That one with the dog would be perfect to hide a speaker in and bark at people as they passed by.
