So I went to the machine shop today to pick up my block, crank & heads and got to watch them do some pulls on this thing. Alcohol injected, hit just shy of 1,800 HP at 8,000 RPM

Amazing the money some of these monsters cost. A few weeks ago, my Sons picked up the 302 Ford Mike Thompson Race Engines built for my Son's T bucket, and there was a BBC sitting there for a drag car. Mike said it was a $40,000.00 build. (and they break occasionally !:eek:)

That one on the dyno looks impressive.

I was going to say, at $40,000 will that even last a season?

The one on the dyno was there because the owner thought he had hurt it so he pulled it, sent it to them to sort it out. Wish I could do that. "Here, take this motor and do whatever needs to be done to get me back in the game."
Apparently, this shop's main business is building these type of motors for "mud-trucks." Some of them make their way to those things that you see in the stadiums doing jumps, wheel stands, etc. Lotsa' money.
