ACK! still doing remodeling in the house. After the balcony, I moved inside upstairs and stripped the old carpet and poly-ed the floor in the master bedroom. Built a 4 post canopy bed frame and replaced mattress and box spring, then moved into the bathroom and stripped the floor there too along with replacing the bath tub and toilet. Next will be rebuilding the vanity....tired of smelling polyurethane and really need to get up off the floor for a while!

I burned out on my house remodel (or should I say rebuild, as in rebuilding a wreck!) a couple years ago. After I retire in a couple months, I will try to devote some time to finishing a bunch of stuff that never got done.

I know what ya mean on burned out....I built this place 26 years ago and am just now having to redo some things that are pretty well used up. I guess that's a good run tho cause it's been relatively maintenance free for that long...

I've been talking to a guy about a '59 Chevy (car) dash for months. Weather, flu, and gout kept getting in my way. Finally got out there to trade a Benjamin for it. The guys on the "pork site" said it took a couple hours to get one out. It wasn't all that bad. About half an hour. And I only hit my bad finger once with the hammer busting out spot welds.

Now to figure out how to pare it down to fit in my next project. The other 38 Ford PU. Its going to be trickier than I thought. I need to take out over a foot, and get situated over the steering
column. Its going to be soooooooo cool! :D

NADA!!! JHDHHFBFGSHSDJDJFGFGZXDG@@@@@%^F
found a complete 41Chevy 1/2 t with an upgrade 327/powerglide/9" for a grand only 5 hours old when I called....gone...:(

Main thing I got done today was I responded to almost every active thread on RRR. Boy, are my index fingers tired.

Went to a small indoor swap meet today. It was warm enough it could have been held out doors. Got a few things I need, a few things I might need and a few things, well, I don't know why I got them???

I haven't touched my 40 chev. Been working on a 84 K10 for my daily driver and it's turned into a bigger job than I thought. Got to put cab corners in it and it'll be close to paint. I hope the mech stuff is done. Other peoples junk keeps showing up, need the money so I can't complain. Soon as this trucks on the road, the 40 is going to be on top of the list. Don't mind working on it, it's kind of like therapy.

Did you know that the seats from an 01 Olds Intrigue are just the right width for a 52 Plymouth?
Tubs, fuel tank, and trunk floor too.

Had 2 nice days this weekend. Got the wheel studs changed on the drivers side and made me a tool to radius my quarters. I'll find me some tires this week and hope for next weekend off.

I got the GM brake booster/master cylinder mounted to run the Camaro power brakes and the discs on the back. It took some custom brackets and some "rigging" to make everything fit, but everything is tight and works with no binding. I needed a few 3/8" fine thread nuts and didn't want to drive the 20 miles to town, so I cut the dome off some stainless acorn nuts I have. The Ford brake pedal misses the Chevy steering column by a quarter inch or so... I may need to do some additional massaging to make sure everything clears everything else after I bench bleed the master cylinder and hook up all the brake lines.

Ground breaking begins. Looks like a big project ahead.

I spent today with my friend and his MII rehab/refit mess.

Here's another piece of (previous owner's) handiwork... a shortened strut rod, properly spliced with a big friggin' nut and some "electric glue"...
