howdy, are there any good sites, links ,books, that describe the differences between model A's and 32 fords??

i was at a show recently and a model A coupe was parked beside a 32 coupe and i was shocked at all the differences. i still can't quite tell them apart.
i usually look for the A's cowl fuel tank or the 32's rear tank but that's all i know for sure.
oh, and i can spot the different frames and grills now too. i'm more wondering about the bodies......

thanks, mo

Well, you have the frame and grill differences down pat. Keep in mind that many Model A's have 32 grill shells installed on them and sit on 32 chassis'. The differences are many. I would suggest checking out www.carnut.com and study the differences in the body styles. Pick one or two differences that are easy for you to pick out and work from there. For instance Model A's have windshield visors unless they have been removed, or all Model A coupes are five windows. 1932 is a one year only body style and was the first year for the Ford V8 by the way. Model A's were produced from 1928 to 1931. the 28/29 Model A's are slightly different than the 30/31 model A's. Look in the cowl area for the biggest differences. Heres some links to the appropriate carnut pages.

thanks Gas that Carnut site is terrific. i never knew that tip about the visors, good to know.
i just picked up a model A tudor from Fatdog409, he's a bodyman and he chopped it 2". this is a project for down the road, right now i'm gathering info and parts, i have a model A frame, but i'm not sure if i'm gonna use it or not. the plan for now is to build a traditional style rod with a few updates. i have a maveric rear end and i'm thinking about a C4, i really want to run a flathead, i picked one up but the block has a few cracks so i don't know if it's worth repairing.
