Looks GREAT!

My VERY lengthy build thread from my 2001 Chevy Tracker...

Hey Bell, Just read your whole post about your build and Really looks good! Kinda makes me want to build another Zuke.I do miss the MELT and all the folks from there !:( BUT..........I love the RAT scene way better![cl

I've got lots of demented ideas.......
1. Glue astro turf on the body instead of paint...
2. Stressed fabric skin over wire frame body, kinda like a Zeppelin...
3. Actually saw this one, body made from old fridges, registered as a 32 Frigidaire ! [S
4. Dual engine power using whats cheap in the boneyard like 4.3 sb Chev V6's
to make a V12 or a couple 2.3 Ford 4 bangers together to make a 4.6
straight 8.....
5. V8 trike with those gaint MT prostreet tires on back mounted so tight
together there's only room between them for the driveshaft....[ddd
6. Make a V8 Quad out of an SUV, toss the body and mount a motorcycle
seat in the middle......[;)

Someone stop me now....

trikes

zzrodder; V8 trike with those gaint MT prostreet tires on back mounted so tight together there's only room between them for the driveshaft....

sort of like these two?

sbc and t350, home made trikes, his and hers:D the gal in the black owns the pinkiish/red one.
the bluish one is the husbands.

the others are a red 1957 chevy 1957 black rat rod, yellow 1957. red 1932 ford, silver32 with matching trailer and not pictured, a 1934 ford trike. a company in oregon make those and also sbc and bbc 2-wheelers with custom made frames. they also make V-8 barstools and V-8 pit-runners.

Later

1.-A 1000cc Shovelhead Sportster engine powered min bike. I took one ride on it and parked it and took it apart. That thing would have killed me.

2- 429 Ford powered Anglia. Had A lot of fun race it.

3- 1965 and a 1967 Mustang pickups. The 65 was a 4X4 on a early Bronco frame.

3- Wanted to build a big block lowered two wheel drive early Bronco.

As a kid I built a mini bike using a 20 HP Briggs motor. It was a Sear frame with a metal plate that went against the rear wheel for a brake and the front wheel was a bike 16 tire with Bike bearings. The mini bike would do over 60 MPH. Think about it, over 60 mph on a bicycle bearings.

Use to take it out on the road and would pass cars with it. Dad heard I was doing that, which I said NO I WAS NOT. But one day I was running out the road a dad was coming the other way.

He was really mad when I got home and made me cut it in half.

I think i might be building my wildest build idea.. currently everything else in my head is a lot more traditional...

Hot40Rod... I have pics somewhere of a Harley engine in a cushmin scooter from the pile up i think.. sounds kinda like what you had going on.. maybe u should have sold yours.. dude wanted 18,000 for it!

I still have the engine and was thinking of putting it in a Triumph hard tail chopper frame I have.

OK dream builds you say....hmmmm

With the price of gas sorta sticking near the 2.85 + a gallon, how about a small two seater (maybe start with a old quad ATV) Amercican made of course, just something small to get to and from work; no more than 4 cylinders (maybe even 2 cylinders), maybe skin it with one of those speedway engineering 3 window 'glass coupe bodies. You know kinda like a 4 wheel scooter except with a little protection from the weather. It has gotta get 40-50 + mpg.
I see all of us drivin to and from our jobs and drivin these huge SUV's and 4 door shiney trucks. Wouldnt it be nice to spend $5.00-7.00 a week for gas??....(I spend $25.00+ a week now with my S10)

Anybody got any pics of something like this???

Just my 2 cents

As far as what I have built I put a Gremlin body on a CJ5 frame, had a Gremlin 4x4. Turned out really good drove the hell out of it, my D/D for couple of years. Sold it wish I hadn't. Sorry don't have any pics of it (don't think) if I find some I'll try to post them. The strangest thing about that build was, as short as a Gremlin is I had to add 11 inches (I think) to the wheelbase of the CJ5. Also had to move the engine back 15 inches.

Ahh, a Lotus 7 kit. I looked into these but I'm too tall to fit and the birdcage structure would be alot of work to stretch. Supposedly alot of fun though.

Monster Garage Diesel Trike has to be the craziest thing I've ever seen and I'd love to have one.

I am building one for my brother in law. He is 6'4" and goes 300lbs. We stretched the cabin area 7" length wise and 5" width wise and raised it 3" under the dash as well. It wasn't bad. We had the whole bird cage welded and done in one 8 hour day.

Ok. I had a new "vision" so to speak. How about a VW square back made to look like a 79-84 IMSA race car. LS1 power, 6 spd, 8" wide rear flares, 6" wide front flares and a large wing on the roof. 15x10 front rims and 15x12 rears. that would be mean![S[cl

I have pictures of something kinda like that.. i will have to see if i can find them.. i cant recall if it was a vw notch back or some other small wagon... and i think they crammed a Ferrari engine in the back of it
