My drivers!

My real driver is a '65 Chevelle but *somehow* is seems to spend a lot of time in the shop getting drivetrain repairs... ummmm! My backup is this Dale Earnhardt Intimidator SS Silverado PU.

I mostly drive my volksrod daily unless its raining(dont have the rag top done yet). In bad weather it would be my old Caprice or my F-350.

95 Jeep YJ (Wrangler). I love the thing! WAAAAAAY paid off!
Up here in MN we call it, "Summer fun- Winter smart."
Could often use a little more room for hauling but the compact size is pretty nice for scooting around in the city.
You'll also see there isn't much I won't (at least try to) fit in this little bugger.
(See 'Look what followed me home' post in photo section.:))

I would actually call both of Jay's (alienbaby's) old trucks Daily drivers during the summer. I think I see his Jeep once or twice all summer. he drives his old PU's all week all summer.

My daily is a 96 Dodge Neon. $1000 car, got it 2 years ago and has only cost me maybe $400 in repairs. gets me close to 30mpg too

My winter beater and picking van is a 93 all wheel drive Aerostar. I also have a 92 F250 with the warmed up 300 and ZF 5 speed.
I really hope by summer I don't have to still be driving that newer crap.

don't hate me

Okay, before I get bombarded with offers, it's not for sale, my daily is a (dare i say) 95 escort wagon, I know what you all must think, but really i'm not bragging, I just happened to fall into the deal of a life time. I'm sure many of you have searched high and low for your dream ride never to find it, I just hope my story will inspire you to keep up the search, trust me, they are out there, sure maybe not within 3 miles from home(like mine), or maybe not priced at 125.00(like mine) or maybe they wont get 29 mpg(like mine), but search on none the less, you will find them. Happy hunting.

I recently bought this one because my Honda died and gas prices were low, so I thought I'd treat myself to something comfortable. Now that gas prices are climbing again and the Northstar only runs on premium gas, I am rethinking that decision. I am going to look for a beater shop truck for most of my daily driving and just keep this one for when I want to go somewhere cleaned up. :)

1970 C-20. 350, 4spd and 4:56 gears. Yeah its gonna suck when gas hits the 5 or 7 dollar mark theyre predicting. Looking into buying an old beach cruiser bike with a small gas engine for the spring, summer and fall months. Theres a local guy that builds them here for a couple hundred bucks.

this is my dd.

07 gmc 2500. 6.0l, 6 speed, 4.56 gears. had the black bear tune done on it as well. if gas goes up, ill get something cheaper to drive.

2000 Dogde Dakota 4X4 Quad Cab with the 4.7 V8. Believe it or not.....it still has the factory tranny!!!!! 126,000 miles.

Ive been hating that I drive such a new vehicle lately but it looks like Im not the only one driving a pretty truck. just found out today it will cost $529.00 to fix my heater because of a plastic piece broke. I did buy this truck dirt cheap because it was a factory buy back and haven't had to many problems with it but I miss my '86 f150 I gave up. I hope to use my rat rod as a daily driver when I get it done and just use the dodge to take my wife out dancing(we don't really dance).
