What type of shackle? 1 piece or two piece?

What style is better? Two piece shackles that just have the two steel arms with bolt holes in them or the 1 piece style that both arms are connected? Why?

Seems like the two arm style would let the spring sway side to side.

I think the 1 piece is better. With the 2-piece, the bolt will tend to rotate in the shackle, wearing out and elongating the holes. With the one piece, that's not possible and forces the pivot point to be the bushing as it should be.

Old school was always 2 piece as far as wear an tear take a lot of whole shot to round out the holes

2 piece work just fine, unless your planning on 38" tires doing some rock crawling
