Crank, you gotta bring up the weather? really? I'm with you and feeling your pain. Last year it was clear water on the lakes an guys were putting in the floating docks. This year I can't even get into my acreage with my Jeep and air lockers front and back ! the snow is still up to my n@#$s
I've been sitting on the side of the road half the day. Blew the turbo on the Freightliner. Puts my play money is a hellava bind. Just have to do the things that don't cost anything for a while...
This weekend I will attend our largest annual car show.... NEVER... in the 30 years I've been to this event... has there been snow on the ground. Usually T-shirt weather. (Well, for me, anyhow.)
I'm still around :-D my new job is having their annual spring car show tomorrow..maybe I can meet some new gearheads.. I need to go post the final entry on my build thread..it has a very sad ending
Hi Gold03, I've had a couple of goin'-to-town days, income tax time you know. Also I'm at a frustrating time with my '36 trying to fit the front fenders to the frame and the grille, the grille to the rad and the rad into the frame and away from the fan but not too far. Oh ya, then the rad hoses run into things they are not supposed to. Crank is right about the weather though, it's a little too yuccy for me.
Trying to get up to speed after goofing off in Az for the last 3 months or so...
New project(s) coming soon....
I feel sorry for you guys still shovelin' the white stuff in the prairies, but that should mean more garage time shouldn't it ?[S
I haven't had much to post. Haven't touched my rpu project in months, been working about 5 days a week, and only get on here a little while before it is bedtime and then back to work the next day.
I REALLY should be taking advantage of this cool weather to work in my shop because the heat of Summer will be cooking me soon enough, but I just don't have the energy after working all week. Too easy to flop in front of the TV with a couple of furry buddies for lap warmers.
It is almost like spring here. Really tired of this weather. But as for me I don't hardly have time to sit, think it's time to quit a job or something, this no free time things blows. But the money is nice!
Being retired means, of course, I have no time at all. Grandma & I babysit a 2 1/2 year old and a 10 month old two days a week. Then there is the breakfasts and lunches with hot rod buddies. The Thursday night BBQ all year long at a friend's shop. Doctor, dentist and dog appointments. It's amazing I get any hot rod building done at all.
As for RRR, I'm on here every night for at least a few hours. My favorite and almost my only enthusiast site.[cl
I try to not over comment on threads. If a thread seems to be somewhat neglected I'll throw in a comment to get it to the top where it can be appreciated.
Been repairing the semi car haulers trailers, they're always broke some where hell I think they come from the manufacture broken [ddd
Then I'm working on the other guys projects. Right now a 52 Ford pickup onto a S10 chassis. Doesn't leave much time or energy, for my 33
Just having a rough time lately, my buddy died in Feb. the old lady decided to leave. She pretty much took everything-furniture wise-mainly because it was stuff I had built over the last 10 years. So I've been building more furniture and trying to get my life back together. Still itching to get back on my 37 gmc-but it's gonna be awhile.
