Why did I try to tackle a bus?

Not really, but that's how I feel.

I've known for years, that I was one of those lucky people that no matter what I did, I was going to be getting dentures one day...well today was that day. Once the novacaine wore off reality set in...a mouth full of stiches and acrylic hurts like the dickens. I know it's for the best, and like I said, if I wasn't such a wimp, I should have had it done years ago.

Oh well...I'll survive, I just had to whine a little....now where are those pain pills?

I can't be too far behind you Ron. I think I have about three teeth left that haven't had a root canal, crown, or some other work. The patches are wearing thin. Take some good stuff and sleep it off.

I know exactly how you feel...
I just had my upper denture done about a month or so ago. I had "LORTAB 10's" for pain. good stuff.

I feel your pain. No really, inside the next year I'll need an upper denture.
After spending vast amounts of money on dental work, I tease my dentist that I bought a couple Cadillacs for her, I'm left with very little on top.

Any idea what an upper should cost? Will I have to sell a hot rod?

Thanks guys....I used up pretty much all options over the years, and I finally decided that rather then drag it out any longer, I went ahead and got both tops and bottoms all at once to get it all over with. 5:30 this morning the pain isn't as bad as it was yesterday, so I know it'll get better...in time

Bob W...you shouldn't have to sell anything (at least I hope not...you got such cool cars). For me tops and bottoms...all of the adjustments during the 5-6 month healing time and mini implants to keep the lowers in place was under 7K. You can probably do the tops for 2-3k max(unless she needs another new Caddy)

Flat...I only got Tylenol with codine...not "top shelf", but enough for me. Figure yesterday was the only day I'm going to take any....I'll deal with the discomfort from here on so I can start getting back into a normal daily routine with out the codine "fog"

EEK, I hate going to the dentist. I feel for ya. Luckily I still have my own teeth with the exception of one empty spot. If you dont like your dentures, implants are great choice, if one can afford em.
