Wife's birthday present

A few mods to the new bike. I replaced the rear seat with a luggage rack, got some chrome trim for the rear fender, added some crash bars, made and powder coated the backrest for the rider seat and mounted some custom mufflers. I like it with and without the bags and backrest

My wife has had another birthday - an annual event - and I decided to upgrade her bike with this new to us 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500. I think it makes her happy! Saddlebags have been ordered and engine protection bars will finish it for her.

Update ... Christmas gift ... purchased and mounted the saddle bags and engine protection bar. I will likely remove the rear carrier rack since my wife doesn't need it doesn't really like the looks of it. She is pretty happy about the upgrades so far.

Thanks Bob. Actually was able to celebrate with both my daughters and their partners for the first time in 2 years. My eldest hadn't yet met her twin nephews so it was great that finally happened. We also got to celebrate the twins first birthday (21st) so its been a great week.

Hope you had a great Christmas as well. It is great being able to follow the progress on all your projects!

There is a build thread on here - Sheets & Giggles - that has all the details on the car build. So far I've gone a best 1/4 mile et of 8.21 and 166 mph. Its a 383 stroker build with a roller cam, ported brodix heads and a converted small bore 671 running on alcohol. Trans is a powerglide. I have a teflon stripped big bore 671 that I'll be putting on this winter and hopefully be able to go a bit quicker in the future.

Maybe. The specs I read give it a top speed of 155 mph. I seriously doubt that I'll ever find out first hand. I did get the funky pajamas to go with it if I ever want to get silly though.
