Bending the drag link actually does nothing. The forces that act on the steering box and drag link are determined by a straight line between the pivot points. You can bend the drag link into all kinds of curlly ques but the push pull force is still a atraight line between the pivots. If you like the look of the bent one and it is strong enough to not bend then run it. Only thing to watch is if you turn all the way to the right that the drag link does not over center and get locked. Make sense?
 
Your bent drag link would always be sagging to the limits of the heim joints. I think a straight link from where the pitman arm is now to the steering arm would be better and not cause a problem. Just putting an offset or bend in does not correct an out of parallel situation. Parallel to the tie rod on the horizontal plane is much more important.
