Hey, Carter! Stay safe there in Tikrit! I did a year at Victory North in Baghdad (now known as Liberty) as a contractor. My favorite line? "Go back to sleep, that mortar was at least a half a click away..." and, "No, I'm not gettin' up to go to the FU#*%NG BUNKER"...
Don't sweat the prices goin' up on Rats, you'll always find something you can start with for cheap. Most of the actual value will be the sweat equity you put into it, right? Me, all I want to do is put something together (my 29 truck) with a flattie in it and just run it for fun. I'll fix up what I feel like WHEN I feel like it. I don't ever want to have something so nice I have to worry about waxing it or whatever...that just takes all the fun out of it.
