A *real* tin magnet
The ones that both buyers thought they would come drive home even though neither had ran in at least 10 years.
The title on the 56 Ford had a completely wrong serial number and now I have to deal with the buttmonkey I bought them from and he's arguing with me, like I'm making stuff up. Think is he's such a **** that he can't get along with the people in the courthouse and hates to go there.
So we have all that going on, trying to get him to straighten out that title and today I go to transfer the title on the 59 Chevy I also got from him and that title is no good because there was a duplicate issued in 1971. So I email him AGAIN with this great news and now he's arguing with me again.
One thing, I am actually glad the sale of the 59 fell through because I would be in the middle of that deal with a disgruntled buyer to deal with too.
If there is an moral to this story, you better double check the title against the VIN when you buy a car and then trot right down and transfer it asap. What if I left that title lay around a few years and the guy died. I'd just be screwed.
