Went to an auction on Saturday, and did not even bid on a 48 Reo truck. It was a rusty shell on 1 ton frame with a motor. No glass, lots of dents. It sold for 75 bucks.
I am just not feeling good yet, and was only thinking about the work to get it on and off the trailer.
Link to pictures here but they won't stay there for long.

It sounds like a great deal, but the front axle sets way back and the cab has a big wheel well opening in the front lower corners. The hood and fenders were beat up, and I was having a hard time seeing an easy hotrod out of it.
Oh well there are thousands more trucks out there.

I feel your pain, sometimes ya gotta pass, then ya kinda second guess yourself, especially after you find out the price. Looks like a bargain to me, and would have made a different fenderless truck, but like you said, there will be more, hopefully. What did the little cat dozer go for?

Bonehead,
I know that's right. I just had a bad trailerin' experience. It just *wasn't* my day & I should have paid someone to do it! Too bad that cheap tin got away form ya!!! ; - >

I feel your pain too.
I got sick half way through a local auction. The rig I was gonna bid on was a Ford AA truck that the guy drove to auction. The thing was really a nice truck. The thing sold for $300.00

Needless to say I was not happy!

But I've made up for lost time buying selling & trading into lots of rigs that I didn't need.

But there is a reason I'm a ratrodder.
