    Yes,it's a chassis from a LDV/Daf 400 British Leyland with a 2500 4 cil. turbo diesel engine. The front of the car and rear fenders are Opel Blitz and the cab is 50 something Chevy.

    That is the '58 Opel Blitz from a buddy of mine,its not a panel but the backwall of the cab has been set two meters back and filled whit sheet metal The comments at the car show were very good,they liked it very much. It was the oldest car at the show:D

    I found some time to work on the Opel again. Support made for the grill and fenders. made an oldschool engine mount. transmission in it and made a support for it. Rear fenders mounted. The original steering rack will not fit because of the V8. Made a new steering column...

    No, that was one of the main conditions of the project, an Chevy v8 There are many European engines to choose from,but what is a hotrod without a v8 They are pretty easy to find,not cheap but affordable

    Thanks guys, removed the headlight mount. And i did some experimenting with black spraypaint,and it worded out very well. Put the engine in to see how it sits in the frame. And here the guy responsible that the engine is in place, my partner in crime, the operator of the chain hoist.

    I now have three weeks off from work,so I can make some progress on de Six. I started with finishing the doors. Because i need to get parts for the doors,I started with welding shut the holes in the front fenders

    Shorten the rear door. The seam between the doors is a little too big but I can adjust that i think.
