    Ya have to raise the engine some I can see. I don't want to channel the cab however. It is sitting on the frame rails now. I am 6'2" and want to be comfy in this rig. I was told a 3" top chop would be about right.

    Update and pics on the project Hey guys, Finally got some time to work on the truck. Worked out that I am going to run the radiator in the bed. Here are some pics. Kinda thinking now I will lightly scuff the exterior and clearcoat it. Sandblast and paint the interior, frame, engine etc...

    Fire Truck Finally back at it. Need some opinions. Does the engine need to be higher? Should I raise the frame rails higher in the front? Should I sink the engine back into the firewall some? Tell me what you think. Thanks.

    Hi guys, I'm Daryl from Southern Maine. I am building a 38 Ford truck Rat rod. Been wanting to do this for many years and have collected parts for a while. Can't believe it's finally happening. Anyhow, have really enjoyed this forum and will rely on it heavily through the build. Cheers.
