    62 IH Scout Australia

Welcome, and I am interested to follow along, since I have one sitting in my back yard.

    Shifters

Yeah, I had that happen with my Lokar. I am running the adapter also and have learned that you can't run a heavy knob with a tall shifter, it tends to shift down on hard bumps that way.

    ??????

I second that, looks like a mix of a new jeep and a hotrod. Looks like alot of fun.

    4 duces

Yeah, I don't think I would try to break in a motor with that setup. Somewhere I have some really good setup info, but I can't seem to find where I kept it. It's been awhile since I have been into the 94s, so I may have this wrong, but on the 97s. After I have been playing with the linkage or...

    4 duces

He was running the Rochester carb so I don't know how those compare with the 94s. I ran the 94s on my 6x2 setup for a while till I switched to the 97s I have now. What I played around with and fought the most was the secondary circuit. I never got the lag between the primary and secondary...

    4 duces

Pretty sure with that manifold you have to run them all straight up, no way to go progressive. Had a friend running that manifold with rochesters, seems like that is what he told me.

    Who insures your cars/rat rods?

Mine are through Heacock, which must be underwritten by American Modern. So far been good for me. Three cars, The 29 Coupe, the 58 TBird and the 68 Convertible Olds, full coverage on all, $318 for the year.

Rat Rods safe from this new Crime wave

Yep, coworker mentioned on Monday, his ex-wife had the entire exhaust stolen off her Toyota over the weekend. She is about half a mile from my house... He didn't seem all that upset by it though :D

    Pedals

I ended up running a pedal from a GoKart. But with my layout you drive the car double footed, which isn't a problem for me, since I am used to driving that way with my time running race karts.

how low is too low ?

I just run bags in the back with a one piece skid plate the runs from the pan back to the trans. The grill shell actually end up clearing stuff because it's in-line with the front axle. But I do think I hit the shell once in a spot in town that has a high crown to it. For driving on the...

    welding classes

Try a community college, not a full fledged four year college, they are more vocational orientated. My 14 year old son is taking welding courses at the local community college, we got them setup as counting toward his high school classes. So far he has finished up two classes, intro gas and...

    Rear suspension questions

Check out how the guys at HotRods to Hell do it. I've seen their cars run at an auto-cross, they do quite well. http://www.hotrodstohell.net

    What to do with it?

I think the proportions wouldn't work. Chop the top so it has a nice rake to the roof, and run it as a bitchen four door. Find the full fenders and run it as a chopped slammed gangster car with a wicked monster twin turbo-ed hemi under the hood. Then you have a wicked car that can you and at...

IH Half Cab Scout x 2 - God help me!

I will be interested to see what you come up with. I have two of these sitting in my back yard. One already has a SBF in it. I figure they will need to have the brakes upgraded, new clutch master, etc. etc.

    I need to move North

But it's not the heat, it's the humidity. Move to California.... Like they say, "Yeah, but it's a dry heat" :D
