I've considered a hand throttle to relieve the discomfort of an awkward gas pedal placement but never did it. Most of my cars have the brake pedal left of the steering column and therefore require left foot braking.

Yeah Smalls...I was thinking the same thing...I took stuff apart (tranny hump panels) and decided to try the pedal modification first....if that does not work...I will be cutting into the tranny hump panels for sure...I welded the first panel and I might be cutting that back out if my feet don't fit...
