:cool:Going to put my 327 in my 55 F 100, can't find a 300 Ford 6, will need a transmission, do have 2 power gulides and a 350, think the 200 R or 700 R would be better. Have put a duel master in, and a Mustang gas tank, been slow going, at 70 its hard to get going.
What is the best way to put fenders on a 55 F 100 without a bed? Was thinking something like motorcycle fenders. Don't think I can register the truck in PA without fenders. Thanks STEVE
Looking for a good running Ford 300 6, or FE engine, with automatic transmission and drive shaft. Have a 50 Plymouth rat rod, runs for trade. In PA
1964 I H tractor, 2606, 6 cylinder, 5 speed, runs, rear live PTO hyd front and rear, blade for rear and rack, snow plow for front, has cab, books. Lakeville PA 18438, $6800 or trades, small old convert cars, 70 to 77 Monte Carlo :D
Started on my 55, duel master cylinder is in and working, still working on the wiring harness, installed a Mustang gas tank yesterday, tryed getting it between the frame rails but had to put it under with hand made hangers, should work OK.
Was told the 300 uses the same motor mounts as a 390-428 FE engine, had a 428 in my 55 F100, thats long gone, will the 300 go in with the mount that is there? The mount is tubular goes from side to side on the frame.
Have to pull the engine (307)out of a 73 Nova, engine will not turn, if I pull just the engine with the converter, messy, should I change the front seal in the trans?(350) Really don't like doing it this way, but am doing it by myself, have a 327 to put back in.
My 79 F100, that I like driving, has a 56 grill bar, 55 beb, 47 rear bumper, still working on it but it runs good. 300 six with a 3 on the tree, need to put in a floor shift, and looking for a 56-58 Ford steering wheel. Will take my Granddaughter for a ride today, finnaly have some sun! Keep on...
