    hell-girls 49 chevy truck

One of the papers from a neighboring city posted a 3 ton GMC cab sitting on a late '80's GMC running gear. Apparently they fit extremely well , but you have to build the box from scratch pretty much. But Ultra low miled cherry condition 3 tons are everywhere up here, hmmm...

1930 Tudor; before and mid pic's

Slowly but surely it's beginning to resemble not so much a pile of parts, but almost a scrappy pile which could become a Rat rod. Before... I don't know who built the homemade frame it had under it; but it hurts your eye's But it worked to roll the body around til the original ' A' frame got...

    Final angle on split bones?

Oh I can weld; took it in school and worked Oilpatch for 25 years. But it's like driving, don't assume you are awesome to a 3rd power. Assume to you can do better and be careful; complacency in your level of skill will bite you in the ass.

    Final angle on split bones?

Thanks, I'll try for 7 degrees as described. I'll stay away for any unnecessary cutting and welding though. My welding skills are fair but its best not to overdo it.

    Final angle on split bones?

I now need to fab up some tab's to attach the split ends to. Any secret to final bone angle( veiwed from the side; more or less...

    4 cylinder slant engine

Cool engine, no? If memory serves me there was a higher performance unit in a late '70's scout. It's got fairly long and straight intake runner's too. Cornbinders are amazing engines. My Father-in-law ( OK ex F-I-L) told me a story of having an old cornbinder arrive at the White dealer he was...

    i need an e-brake

You are correct it's a headache. I lucked into a transmission mounted E-brake for mine. That's a hardcore 4 x 4 setup; when the guys use 2.5 ton / 4 X 4 axles they often go with a disc brake mounted on the rear of the tranny. It's claimed they have superior braking power over the cable mounted...

    1930 Tudor in the works

Hey all, thanks for any help in advance. I'm building a 1930 Tudor w/ a 3" chop. Original 'A' frame boxed with 4" drop axle wearing Bendix brakes out of a '48 Merc F 47 pickup truck ( oh yeah that's a Canadian thing I believe; Merc pickups were not made in the US were they?). The same pickup...
