Are these decent rearends...are they a precursor to the 9" ...would i be retarded to trade my 42' ford truck banjo rearend for this one??? ..i will most likely be running a 460bb or a 394 olds ...just curious[S

I have been doing some research on the 460.. Seems to be all kinds of support for them...my olds motor is just so expensive to build...i love all the old parts you can get...but break the bank doing so...will just leave that in my 61' olds.....the 460 has the dove heads and from what i have...

Just found a 460 on c.l ....trying to go pick it up sat.....i just want a big ass motor in my truck...like i said im new to auto world...seems like 460 is way to go...found a bunch of forums on them....but my other issue is...should i try to stay pre64 with my motor?????:confused:

Ok so i am going to be building a frame..i will be using 42axle with the four bolt pad...i will be doing a suicide front end...so my question is...where do i get my frame width..am i correct in thinking it should not be any wider then the pads??? Otherwise the radius arms or split bones wouldnt...

Since my frame will be 11ga...should i use a smaller rod then a 1/8?
