    What is this?

On that International... definately a '55 or '56. If it has 4 wheel drive that will confirm it for you.The gear ratios in those trucks are high (4.10) so you won't be able to make it go stock more than 45-50 if its running like a peach.

Rust Removal (If your into that type of thing)

Huh I haven't tried the rag technique yet.... that might be worth a shot.

    1951 International L-110

Shows aren't for me... I am more of the type of guy that would drive it to the show and leave it in the lot outside than drive it in. You can get that rust removal stuff in like 50 gallon buckets a little cheaper. I bit the bullet and did it because I'd rather not go back and address...

    1951 International L-110

I posted it over in the Tech. section its a product called Evaporust sold at Harbor Freight. Unfortunately the stuff ain't cheap but it works damn good and can be re-used for awhile (until it turns black).

    Binders, whose got 'em

I follow you... its a love it or hate it. The green wasn't a factory color and is a bit too loud for me.

International L122 B Binder Rat Build

I'll PM you about it. I really dig your build. You may want to check out some of my pics (or swing up and have a look) to get a better idea how that 350 will fit. The headers are tight but manageable.

    coil overs

Definately watch the heat around metal. It does crazy things to it. Shocks/Springs are the one thing you don't want giving out on you.

Fess up!!! What kinda car did you drive in High School!?

Dodge Omni 1981 followed by Plymouth Horizon 1983. I am ashamed to say I loved them both.

Rust Removal (If your into that type of thing)

I use a product called Evaporust. I searched and saw it hadn't been mentioned here. It ain't cheap but but provides the best rust removal I have seen. It basically glues itself to rust and dissolves it without eating at good metal. It is better than Electrolysis because it doesn't cause Hydrogen...

    1951 International L-110

I suppose I should mention that some of this stuff people bitch about (IFS, plain jane 350 etc...) but I don't much care. This truck is being built to drive the doors off of. I plan on using it as a DD for much of the time so I wanted it to be as reliable as possible and still be within my skill...

How is this for hard worked? DSCN1263 by nwaringa, on Flickr I am still trying to decide on a grill style. The orange is from a 1954 IH and the original is a '51 of course. DSCN2897 by nwaringa, on Flickr

JML have any of the sheet metal left over still? I am up in North Denver and am working on an L-110.

    1951 International L-110

I did a bunch of stuff to accommodate this old guy. The front has adjustable coil overs and the rear has an axle over spring flip with new spring plates. I had to have a monster drive shaft made for it (84 inches) and am still working on some of the mechanicals (gas pedal and gas tank) before I...

Old braking system: It had a single reservoir system leading to 4 drum brakes on straight axles. I went with an 8 inch booster 2 chamber system mounted under the cab. DSCN0302 by nwaringa, on Flickr DSCN3157 by nwaringa, on Flickr DSCN2903 by nwaringa, on Flickr Suspension: The 4.10 rear was...

    1951 International L-110

Hey guys... I am new here and working on a project that is semi-rat rod. I enjoy the engineering part of working on my truck and figured you guys would find interest in my build thus far. I plan on setting up camp here for my build hopefully. Here is where I am so far: Day 1: Had a kind of...

    Colorado International

Hey guys.. new to the forum. I hang out and help admin. http://www.oldihc.org/main. I have a 1951 International that probably doesn't qualify as a total "rat rod" but more of a restorod. However, I enjoy the engineering of switching components which seems to go on a lot here. I'll start a build...
