We have 5 acres of land we park an RV on. Kinda investment thing. It's not like they make more land here;) country getting crowded and demand is growing....

That's the plan on paper. But in reality I hope to break even after ten years and pay for my camping/RVing.

No people there. Nice and quiet. Plan to park the trailer and not use the tanks all year. Out house it is. Butt that thing is pooping in style hey :)

I was happy with the idea of a lawn chair, a toilet seat, and a shower curtain for the shy.

She wouldn't go for it. [S

I just can not figure out women.

Enough of the wives and out houses. On with the build. Here is where I am. I raised the rear window bottom sill to make the rear glass smaller. I think with the chop the glass would look disproportionate.

I have the cut lines all marked out.

I designed and built the roof truss system.

I just tacked the truss to the roof. I want to be able to cut the tacks and reuse the truss on another roof someday. I thought about screwing it or rivets, but all those holes put me off. Hopefully the tacks hold and all is good. will let you all know how it works out when I cut. Hopefully that is tomorrow.

Looking good, wish I would have done that when I split my roof!

Also, I think it would have looked fine with a stock rear window, but thats what makes all our builds unique!

After the roof is dropped I should almost have equal distance from the belt line to the bottom of the window and from the top of the window to the body line on the roof. My box will come almost to the belt line.

That roof is so stiff right now, I could stand on it.

I just can't climb up there. Damn hot today and I got a little heat exhaustion again. Time to just kick back with some friends for the evening.

Yea, when I did mine, I wanted all the windows the same height, thats what I thought would be proportional, but I get what you are after!

yea, I agree the roof was crazy strong on mine too, until I split it, now its not quite and strong, and a bit flatter overall... I do hope yours stays curved as you have it!

Looking good Bro.
Next pics I want to see are you with a cutting tool in hand.
I am actually going to start back working on mine tomorrow. Splitting my shop time between the truck and the wooden boat.[cl

Hopefully I will be posting some pics in the near future.

Ok, the roof is off and started to reassemble. The girder idea worked out great so far.

I left a little extra meat on the A-Pillar so I can angle the pillar out and have enough to grind an angle.

I wasn't sure how much I would need or if they just get a little shorter on the inside. edge.

Im bushed, its time for a shower.

Looks good. You got alot done.
How much did you chop the roof again and how much of a spacer piece are you going to need?
I had to angle grind my A pillars as well to close the gap up.
Good to see that your "girder" system worked. can't wait to see more pics.
