It all started a coupe of years ago. I was driving up in Gold country (near Colfax Ca.) when I spotted my next project. As I swung the truck around abruptly my wife asked what i was doing. I said wait and see.. LOL Well to make a long story short I made a deal with the man and drug it home..Started the tare down and collecting parts.

Some more pictures. Scored some Halibrand style wheels on the cheap.. Got the axle out of a 65 satellite. Have a old 318 from a dart. Im going to keep the parallel leafs up front with a tube axle I got from a buddy. Trying to sort my pics so they are in order.

Thanks Pops. It just seems right. I checked out the bottom end of the old 318. There was no ridge and everything looked good so i replaced the valve seals on the heads, all new gaskets, Comp 268 cam, and added a aluminum intake. The A-904 has been rebuilt and I through in Kevlar bands, clutches, a TransGo TF-2 reprograming kit and a Huges 2500 stall convertor.

Yep, keeping the fenders. Im trying to keep everything kind of original condition " we will see how that goes" Ive made some changes to the frame. Like boxing, bracing and adding a triangulated four link.
Do you guys think the bracing I've added will be enough??
There is a 2x4 across the middle ith trans mount then I K'd it towards the back.
Also added a 1.5' tube across the front behind the original crossmember.
