40 Ford brakes question

What do I have to do to make 40 Ford brakes work with a 70's ford 9"?

I'm having problems trying to figure this out because the brakes are more of a banjo type brake if I'm correct??? and I would like to get away from that considering I'm dropping in a ford big block.

I don't know too much about that so thanks ahead of time for your help.

Edit: The reason I ask is because I came along some good brakes for cheap so I have them and want to use them.

Are you saying you want to put '40 brakes on a 9 inch? If so it won't work. The design is COMPLETELY different. Save the brake parts for the front.
