I did a S10 suicide door with auto lock hinges i got off ebay for just over $100 I plated the inside of my doors because newer truck have huge holes on the inside. but the best way I`ve seen to brace the doors and prevent sag when they open is to connect the ends of the hinge pockets with square tubing and 45 the top and bottom to the door sides. not sure if this makes sense but it looked like it would work alot better and I`m sure it weighed less than my 1/8th steel plate. But hey I`m sure it woulda stopped a good size round haha

Great looking build!!

I also give you props for using a Mopar engine. Nothing else belongs in a Mopar but a Mopar engine. [cl

yeah the sag isnt to bad. its mostly cause the top of the door isnt there i worked on it alittle bit tonight so ill see if that helps. yeah i think i want to keep the drip rails.

i had to do alot of work to the hinges sure would be nice if i had a torch but cutting and bending.

I think that kit is the way to go, I have about half the cost in my setup, but a whole lot more headaches and time spent. Can’t really beat the pre-engineered kit.

Truck looks great, you're doing a really nice job. :D

just beware of the speedway axles. SOme have broken due to having a cast kingpin end not a forged end. I would consider buying a super bell axle instead. More money but way safer. just my $.02 nice work on the cab though. Looks good. [P

i wasnt aware that the speed way ones are casted end. Thats no good in my book. wheres some good places to buy? whats beter spring over or spring behind? Does it matter really also id like to use hairpins instead of a 4 link, what about an aluminum.

so going through my boss' old paint i find a bunch of old metal flake sizes are from super fine to a bass boat. i think i know what im doing for paint.....

Really liking those hinges, think I am going to do the same thing. Just not yet, will probably do that down the road once I get some other stuff done. I would like to get it cruising down the road for a while before I do that. Plus I want to get the V8 done to throw in it.

why does this website say superbell is cast.....

to cold to work in the garage :( i really need a heater in there. Any suggestions?? im thinking a kerosene heater,

I've got a nice big wood burner in my wood shop which is connected to my garage. With a couple strategically placed fans it heats both areas quite well....can keep it at 75-80 degrees easily. My building is insulated well too, the first step in seriously heating any area.
Love what you are doing with the Dodge! Keep up the good work[P[P
