i have a 47 dodge, the cabs look inentical. did you have to split the roof front to back? i realize the side to side cut, just wondering, as i am getting ready to chop my girl up pretty soon.

nope didnt have to cut it down front to back. The cab is identical 1939-48 dodge truck had the same cab. I found the center of the windshield then measured how much i wanted to take out.

like the truck, especially the suicide doors. i had the same dilema on drip rail on my build, i left them on, but i am still contemplating smoothing them out, they are a pain to get straight again after the chop.

looking good,i also have a 41 dodge. chop looks real good,i was trying to decide on how much to chop mine, now i know. thanks

The suicide door thing is fine just need some metal fab experience, I'm just gonna make some new drip rails, I don't like the look of the shaved rails, go any lower and it starts to be a real pain to view traffic lights

:( havent worked on it in about 3 weeks due to moving, but the better side is that ill have a 2-car garage so alot more room to work. but thanks for all the comments
