Got a little extra time to do what I want for a change and got to working on my p/u. Had a dash, hood and cowl section from a 50 Pontiac Silver Streak collecting dust in my shed, soooo! Here's what I came up with. Narrowed the dash about 10" and trimmed a hole bunch. still need to cut out the old dash. Did the same to the cowl section. Not sure about the hood, will need a lot of trimming and pie cutting to fit. Haven't come up with a grill plan yet, any ideas.......

Little update, Reworked the gauge cluster from the 50 pontiac, added some red and green diodes for high beam and directional indicators you can just see them at the top of the speedo. Fuel gauge is a cheepy that I got for 10 bucks at Princess Auto [Can. HF] temp gauge was one I had laying around but I broke it putting it all together.

Haven't got much done, took 3hrs just to figure out how to make the compound curve at the end of the dash. Finally found an old piece of pipe from an old portable garage that I used to have. It has the right radius as well as almost the correct curve.

A good friend and nephew of mine ( Unkle Ian ) gave me a set of headlights that will be worked into the design, no I'm not sure how but I have some ideas. Not sure what they are off of anyone have any guesses? Anyway I'll post when there is something to report.

Whatever they came off of, it had a chrome strip running lengthwise along the bucket.
And the headlights were aimed using an adjusting screw on the very back of the bucket.

The guy I got them from, said they were late 30's Chrysler.
But, of course, other people disagree.

I wasn't going to worry too much.

Time for an update, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Decided to run a good heater and defroster system. It tends to get a little cool at night.
