Hi! I have a model a and was wondering if it is possible to use a shortened 47 ford column + steering box ? This will be a drop axle , fender-less sedan . Thanks for any advice Dave!
 
Yes it is. You will need to build a mount for it and install it on the proper angle. Depending on your engine choice and location this can be a problem sometimes, but if you are set on using the Ford box it can be modified and installed with u-joints. DO make sure the box is tight and in good condition before installing it. Vega boxes are cheap and would be a better choice for a cross steer setup IMO, but it can be done with what you have.
