brake booster

So as some of you guys know i put a camaro clip and rear in my 56 f100. I was planning on using the camaro booster and mounting it to the fire wall. But i never payed attention to it at all untill today. i noticed that the booster and master mounts on a angle to the fire wall. My question is why is on a angle and can i modify it so it sits level when mounted on the fire wall?

I imagine it was for them to get the rod to travel straight into the brake MC.
I dont see why you couldnt make an angled spacer to mount it straight.
