car hood instead of truck hood???

Do i need to use a 42 ford truck hood to fit my cab or can i use the car hood? i found one and hopefully for a killer deal, will it or will it not fit?

No,it won't...at least it's not going to "bolt-on", it will require ALOT of surgery...you're better off finding a truck hood.

What is the car hood off of? And what are your plans for the cab. Are you are going with fender?

came off a 42 sedan, was just curious if it would fit. i just want to get a hood and run open sides. turbos would be to hard to fab the sides on

Are you sure it's from a '42? That's a rare car...I'd hate to see a hard-to-find piece like that butchered to fit a truck cab, when there's probably 100's of '42-'47 truck hoods available with just a little hunting...

guy said he had a 42 sedan parts car. Apparently the car was tore up.
