ratin a 49 ford pu

just started helpin a buddy build a 49 ford ratruck and he want's to chop but is skeered of gettin the angles right. now we are lowerin the bed next is to channel the cab. i've sent him all your pic's to try and get him more motivated, when he saw my 40 ford ratruck he started to work on his more since it's been sittin behind my shop for 1 1/2 yrs.

You should build some animatronics into your props...an Oscillating Fan without the fan blade will give the heads movement.

Here's a picture of what I started with on my paddywagon.1979 Suburban and a ol Chevy truck.The doors and fenders came off another project.As you can see in the pic I used the surburban front floor pan. Dean

I like what you did with the fenders. I'm planning to kick all 4 fenders out at least 4-6". I put my 51 on a 86 Chevy 1/2 ton shortbox. Fits almost perfectly except for the stance. The tires are too close to the fenders in the front and I want to run over 20" tires in the back. Do you have any more close up pics of the fender widening? Looks cool with the duals
