...I recommend Asian women as potential wives or even a wife from the old countries if you are up to wearing the pants.

I was talking with a few guys at the gun range. Two young guys were talking about some middle eastern countries were men had multipule wifes & how great that is.. You could just see the shivers going down the backs of all of us long time married guys

I told the two young single kids...."find a orphan girl from another country that doesn't speak English. That way you have no inlaws and when's she giving you the business you won't understand a single word of it. :D

BobW..... by jove, I think you've got it!

Makes perfect sense to me..... but as my wife reminds me....."what the heck do I know????" ...LOL

5 days, no BS....what is wrong with this picture?!?!?:D

anyway, after getting my 46 on the road i tinkered with another build, lost interest and needed money so i sold it....
now i can't seem to start on another project, but can't STOP thinking about changing up things on my 46...does anyone else have this trouble?

example: the ol 350-dressed "283 style" runs ok and gets me where i want to go; with a mild cam and a set of glass packs it even sounds the part...but it is not fast enuf...so now i'm researching cam swaps, changing heads (again) and changing the intake manifold, swapping on headers and a different stall converter...maybe even changing rear gears later...
ok i admit it-i am addicted... please don't try to "cure me";)

there...BS on that a while...[ddd

HRP, I like the extra 50 cu. in. a 400 small block provides. The old adage, "There's no substitute for cubic inches" is pretty accurate.

interestingly enuf, that was what started the whole scenario...i found a 70 model car w/400 in it sitting in a field, traded for it and pulled the motor, but it was so rusty inside (even though it was complete down to the wing nut on the air cleaner) that it didn't clean up on 40 over...so i scrapped it and now am considering the vortec heads on my 40 over 350 with an air gap style manifold...if i had an extra 800 laying around i'd buy a 383 balanced rotating assembly and build me a stroker...

just placed an order for a few hotrod parts...anyone remember the way Snoopy would sit in the mailbox until his valentine arrived? if you need me, i'll be in the mailbox waiting...

Just remember a watched pot never boils..................
But then again an unwatched pot will scortch and stink up the whole place.

Damn it is hot. 96 out side and I am in a metal building with a black roof, no insulation. So it is 110 in here. We got a digital temp gun with the laser beam. says the roof temp is 152. yea we got 2 big 4' fans running still hot.

88* here. insulated steel building so our beams are only 101 on the underside. 96% humidity though. Cant seem to make up its mind if it is going to rain.

It hit 100 here this afternoon. The a/c can not keep up. It is 77 here in the other building.

Been a wonderful Spring here in the Valley Of The Sun(stroke). It should really be called the Valley Of The A/C. Phoenix only started becoming a retirement destination after a/c became common in the '50's.Wouldn't be anything here but Indians and casinos without a/c.

My computer went belly up, dangit:mad:. I have lost ALL of my photos. I bought a new computer but my photo files are now empty. I'm going to take my tower to the computer store to see if they can recover my photos for me. In a cruel twist of fate, I was searching the internet for cool photos when I caught the virus that killed my computer.

Hey, Gastrick sorry to hear bout the puter, I have had success retrieving files from hard drives, it was pretty simple (i'm no computer geek) but ya can buy a usb cable that will connect directly to the hard drive and retrieve your photos.

Thanks pacrat. The problem is the computer won't even boot. I only get a black screen when I power up. I can't even get to "safe mode". I'll play with it some more but I'm not very computer saavy.

All you need to do is remove the hard drive from the computer and connect one end of the cable to it the other end to your new computer via the usb port, then go to "my computer" and it should show the hard drive as a storage device, if done it a few times, works pretty easy. Good luck either way. It may seem silly but pictures are some of my most cherished possesions, yet i dont take as many precasions to preserve the as i should.
