Ok today I flipped the frame to work on the other side
1. Shows the backing plate
2. Is were I trimmed it with a sawsall
3. I ground it flat with the frame
4. I used the grinder to grind a bevel to weld in
5. I tacked it to keep the heat down so it will not warp

Does that mean that there will be pics with bailin' wire and sheet metal?

I'm just kiddin round with ya. The progress looks like it is comeing along good. I think the biggest thing is to take your time and do it right the first time. Thanks for posting the pics and sharing the build pics with us...

Yes take your time
And yes I will use bailing wire and nails and some old Coke a Cola shelves for the sheet metal
No fancy patch panels for me
I learned early on that if you ask about something you will get an answer
You mite not like it but they will tell you some thing
I asked at WAL-Mart what they were going to do with that old pile of shelves
And the guy said " If I can find somebody dumb enuff to haul it off they can have the hole pile"
I told him he had fond somebody
It toke two days of hauling but I got the hole pile:cool:

web grill

Will trace a model A grill and then layout the web and tack it
Mite have to make the barbed wire out of weilding wire
I have never tried to make one
I'd like rusty wire but mite just paint it black:cool:

Next I'll mount my Curtis style bars to the rear and frame
That will get her rear on the ground
And then I'll start on the front:cool:

Tool

I need to show how it all goes together so more builders can copy it
It only cost me about $5.00
and will work on front or rear springs
I'll try to get better pictures up:cool:
