To see this build is the main reason I joined. Plus the fact it seemed like a great group of guys on this site helped. I sure enjoy the pics.

They cut the center out of the wheel and welded a 15 inch rim on it
The guy has driven it like this for years and it does not shimmy or wear the tires funny:eek:

Will have to weld my bungs on the bones
I'm thinking of using my Model a bones they are about 8 inches shorter
Later I'll get the rear end from the 36 and I'll use it
I like using the same rims front and back

Well dome HBC, if those rear wheels are modified like the fronts that you already have, you surely don't want to let them get away before you can go back and get them. I've heard of quite a few instances of people changing the hoops on wheels before. As long as the welds are good and everything is centered and squared, no problem.

wheels

I plan on getting the other wheels
He has 3 more and they are all in good shape
will get the hub caps also
I am thinking about using adapters to mount them to my rear
That will give me better brakes and gears for the hwy
And you can get S-10 parts cheep
Also i'll not have to deal with the closed drive line:cool:

Update On the Model A

Sorry its been so long on updates but I've had a lot of other work to do
Dug 9 ponds and built a road across my cousins farm
Hauled scrape iron and changed jobs
MODEL A 8-07 001 (Medium).jpg
I cut the lower rear of my cab off to make patch panels and found out that I needed a sheet metal brake to bend up the patch's
So i built one for about $10 and some scrap metal

MODEL A 8-07 003 (Medium).jpg
I built some legs out of 1x4 with a 2x2 welded to the bottom for legs
I had some 4" angle iron for the top that I wielded to A strap hinge that I payed $10 for at the hardware store

MODEL A 8-07 004 (Medium).jpg
I wielded the hinge so both pieces of angle iron is side by side

MODEL A 8-07 005 (Medium).jpg
I then put another pice of angle on top and drilled holes for bolts
